The active probiotic in Dynavyte Pets MBS is Bacillus subtilis
In the current environment we felt it timely to revisit its antiviral properties.
Please read the following update:
The Dynavyte vet has previously written an article about the antiviral effects of Bacillus subtilis (B subtilis). Activity against rotavirus and human influenza virus has been found in scientific research.
Recent interest in coronavirus has stimulated further investigation into the antiviral studies involving Bacillus subtilis. Many studies have found antiviral properties including those listed below of interest to pet owners:
Feline Calicivirus (cats)
Canine Distemper Virus (B subtilis being used in a vaccine against Distemper)
Murine Encephalomyocarditis Virus (mice)
And interestingly with:
Transmissible Gastroenteritis Virus (a coronavirus of pigs causing diarrhoea) – COVID-19 has also been shown to be found in faeces of children. Coronaviruses in mammals can cause both respiratory problems and diarrhoea.
